FWPA is a CHOICE Enrollment School

FWPA is a school in the Federal Way Public School District which provides students a rigorous and challenging academic program.  The school’s mission is to provide a college preparatory curriculum for students in grades six through ten.  We are proud of our levels of high achievement and the success of our students.  

FWPA has been a popular choice for parents who seek a college preparatory education in a small school setting for their child.  Enrollment at FWPA is approximately 300.  About 60 sixth grade students will be selected in a random drawing, and applicants for grades 7 through 10 will be drawn and given a waitlist number.

Details about the Choice Enrollment program and the online application can be found on the district website at www.fwps.org/choice  The choice application window is from February 2  through March 16, 2026, followed by the lottery drawing held on April 15 at the ESC.  

It is important to note that if selected into the choice program, parents must provide transportation.  Our school hours are 8:30am to 3:00pm.
