Women's History Month 2025

Federal Way Public Schools is excited to celebrate Women's History Month this month! We’re joining alongside other celebrations nationwide with activities throughout our schools that showcase the contributions and lives of women throughout history.

Our Plan for Inclement Weather

National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month 2024

September 15 marks the beginning of National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, a time when our district and schools acknowledge the contributions, achievements, histories, and vibrant cultures of individuals of Hispanic or Latinx descent from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America.

Pride Month 2024

In June, we celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month, dedicating this time to affirming the identities that create our strong and diverse district. During this month, we focus on the importance of creating space for our scholars, staff, and community to show up as their authentic selves. Scholars feel most empowered to do their best learning when they are comfortable being themselves.

Beginning this summer of 2024, the state of Washington will launch a new Summer EBT program called SUN Bucks. The program will provide families with $120 for each eligible school-aged child to buy food when school is out.

National Arab American Heritage Month 2024

April is Arab American Heritage Month, a time our district and schools celebrate the Arab American heritage and culture and pay tribute to the contributions of Arab and Arabic-speaking Americans.
