FWPA Booster Club

Melanie Dean

Welcome to FWPA Booster Club! My name is Melanie Dean. My daughter, Peyton, is in 7th grade at FWPA. I wanted to get involved in Booster Club to support our FWPA teachers, staff and students. I care about open communication and finding ways as parents to give the school extra resources that make our kids’ experience excellent. This year I’m honored to serve as President of the FWPA Booster Club, and I’m committed to showing up, listening and bringing families together to support our school.

Jessica Heavner

Hi FWPA families! I’m Jessica Heavner, mom to Alexia in 6th grade and a first-time FWPA parent. With my oldest now at FWPA, I wanted to jump in—show up for our staff, dream up fun events for students and help make these middle-school years a win for everyone. My focus is building a warm, welcoming Booster community and creating smart, sustainable fundraising so we can say “yes” to more opportunities. I bring an accounting degree, nonprofit experience and years of advocacy for early learning, childcare and family support, especially in diverse communities like ours. When I’m not volunteering, you’ll find me on the sidelines at soccer, basketball and softball, at Boys & Girls Club games or at the Capitol working for policies that help our kids and community thrive.

Jenny Bunting

Hi! I’m Jenny Bunting, mom to Declan (6th grade) and a first-time FWPA parent. I joined the Booster Club because I saw a need and know good things happen when many hands pitch in. I studied Technology & Engineering Education at BYU and earned an MAT in Engineering from Tufts, then taught middle school in Boston, so I love turning ideas into hands-on projects. As Secretary, I’m here to keep us organized, capture our progress and help ideas move from “spark” to “done.” When I’m off the clock, I’m usually traveling, learning something new or making stuff.

Rodney Skeins

I’m Rodney Skeins and I’m honored to serve as Treasurer for the FWPA Booster Club. Our family is new to FWPA with a 6th grader here and a daughter in 3rd grade at Lakeland Elementary. My wife serves as Family Liaison at Lakeland, so pitching in feels natural. I joined because strong family involvement drives student success and I want to give back in a real way. My goal this year is to strengthen the Booster Club’s financial foundation so every dollar raised does the most good for students, staff and programs. I work as an HR and Payroll Administrator with a solid background in budgeting, reporting and accountability. When I’m not volunteering, I’m with my wife and daughters cheering on their activities and enjoying family time. I look forward to working with our families, staff and scholars to help FWPA thrive.
